wibbledee: (adj.) a feeling of giddiness when fully immersed in creative pursuits

I am an aging Gen X’er who lives in Colorado with my husband, son, dog, and cat. I have spent a considerable portion of my life working in a typical administrative, 9-to-5 job. I have earned a living by maintaining a well-organized office, an orderly ledger, and a tidy desk. I have a hobby of accumulating office supplies and stationery, reminiscent of a person who loves shoes or hats. When I am not running an office, I enjoy making art and expressing my creativity.

As an artist shaped by my experiences, I am ready to start my own creative business by merging art and office supplies. This brings me to my idea of “wibbledee”: a nonsensical word that describes the wiggly feeling in your gut that manifests as happiness and excitement. Wibbledee Designs is a business that allows me to integrate my love of office supplies with my passion for art and design. My aim is to transform everyday office and administrative tools into joyful and fun objects.

In my shop, you will find new original artwork, alongside upcycled items. Currently, I have a strong interest in vintage and thrifted materials. I believe that transforming and utilizing these items not only helps to keep them out of the landfill a little longer but also gives them new life and a new story to contribute to their journey.

When you purchase an item from my shop that incorporates vintage or thrifted materials, I will include an “ingredient” tag. This tag will share the story of where, when, or how that material was acquired, or provide details about its original purpose.

Thank you for checking out my shop. If there is anything you don’t see or would like to see, please let me know!
