wibbledee: (adj.) a feeling of giddiness when fully immersed in creative pursuits
While technology provides us many solutions to planning, scheduling, journaling, and personalizing our lives, I think many of us gain pleasure in handling paper, journals, notebooks etc. There is joy in the sound of pen to paper, the feel of glossy stickers, the sight of a well organized planner or notebook. These things, combined with art and design, make my soul sing.
I created the nonsensical word of “wibbledee” to describe the wiggly feeling that manifests as happiness and excitement when making things. Wibbledee Designs is a business that allows me to integrate my love of journals, stationery, and office supplies with my passion for art and design.
In my shop, you will find upcycled-functional items that look fun and unique in your workspace. Currently, I have a strong interest in vintage and thrifted materials. I believe that transforming and utilizing these items not only helps to keep them out of the landfill a little longer but also gives them new life and a new story to contribute to their journey. Many of my handbound journals are made with various paper I’ve thrifted as well as fabric covers made from thrifted clothes and linens. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and if you need something special made or there is something you would like to see in my shop, please let me know!
